OakBrook was founded in 2014 with a vision to solve the Bay Area housing crisis by creating new affordable workforce housing. In 2017, a concern for homelessness grew, and solutions for permanent supportive housing were incorporated into the business plan. As a triple bottom line approach to business, our 100% affordable housing projects also pursue a standard of excellence in green building and environmental design. Certified for both USGBC LEED Certification and Build It Green Certification, we uphold our commitment to positive environmental impact. As a safe and reliable financial investment, our current and continuing capital partners serve as our best reference to describe the deep ethical commitment OakBrook makes to its fiduciary responsibilities to investors and lenders.

Elizabeth Brady

Managing Partner


Ms. Brady has 20 years’ experience in full lifecycle real estate development. She’s entitled over 1,200 units of residential, 1 msf of commercial and 80 megawatts of solar. She has master planned over 5,000 acres of resort communities, designed over 260,000 sq ft of condominiums, and transacted on $2mm in ecosystem credits. She’s also a member of Wharton Bay Area Real Estate, a USGBC LEED Accredited Professional, and a Built It Green Advisor. Ms. Brady earned her MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania with a Major in Finance and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Texas at Austin.

Malik Franklin

Financial Advisor


Mr. Franklin is cofounder of Northbridge Investments, LLC, a real estate firm currently engaged in over $1B in acquisition and development projects. His 20 years of investment banking experience includes 15 years dedicated to the real estate sector, where he’s raised over $5B in capital for REITs and Fortune 500’s. He holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BA in Economics and Computer Science from Dartmouth College. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, a California DRE Brokerage Licensee (#01926241), and has achieved his FINRA Series 7 & 63.

Strategic Advisor


Mr. Brady is a strategic advisor for OakBrook offering real estate and construction expertise as well as financial advice. Also a licensed civil engineer, Mr. Brady managed a $6B capital improvement program which included the design and construction of 10 million square feet across the University of Texas system utilizing more than 100 Architectural & Engineering consulting firms with a institutional division staff of 25 direct reports. He is also an Owner and Board Member of Apogee Communication, a national telecommunications corporation.

Mr. Sze is a construction coordinator and translation agent for OakBrook. Mr. Sze’s experience includes a wide variety of specialties including computer programming and diagnostics, resident relocation, site surveillance, customer service, Chinese (Cantonese) / English translator and project safety.
